What feature would you like in Windows 8?

It has been almost a year since Windows 7 became available to the general public. Microsoft is already working on the next version of Windows and together with Michael Pietroforte (from 4SysOps) and about 15 other blogs I’m curious what feature you think should really be part of the next Windows Client OS.
Note : I can’t promise you that any of the features mentioned below will ever make it to the new version, but you’ll never know if we could get enough votes for them Microsoft maybe implement the feature!
You only have to vote once, so if you have voted already on one of the other blogs (Demonic Talking Skull – GeekSmack – Helmers Blog – I’M A UC BLOG – markwilson.it – msigeek – Standalone Sysadmin – Techinch – Teching It Easy: with Windows – The Road to Know Where – The Experience Blog – The things that are better left unspoken – The Windows Club – Tiny Hacker – WindowsObserver – WindowsPro – Within Windows – 7 tutorials – 4sysops) you don’t have to vote again!
Before you can vote, please take a look at the descriptions before you cast your vote (click the Read More link).
Windows 7 RA vs. VNC Viewer
A customer came to me with the question which of the two does a better job for delivering remote assistance to the end-users : the built in remote assistance function of Windows 7 or the (3rd party tool) VNC Viewer. Because I’m a big fan of the Request Remote Assistance function in Live Messenger for supporting friends and family with their computer issues I advised them to use the default remote assistance.
Forefront Endpoint Security 2010 Beta Available!
It took them quiet a while, but it’s finally there (I first blogged about Forefront Codename ‘Stirling’ back in 2008!)…the beta of Forefront Endpoint Security 2010! In the next few weeks I’m certainly going to check it out and blog about it! Right now I’m kinda busy with the latest Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010 (MDT 2010 for the geeks) building a Windows 7 client environment for one of our customers. Besides that I’m also implementing a new App-V (4.6) environment together with a colleage….so when that all is finished I’m really going to take a deep dive into Forefront Endpoint Security 2010!
Of course you don’t have to wait that long to see something about Forefront Endpoint Security….you can start right now by downloading the bits from Microsoft.com!
