Prepare yourself for the 71-659 Exam
Earlier today I blogged about the availability of the new Windows Server 2008 Server Virtualization beta exam. You probably want to prepare yourself for this beta exam, but (as always with a beta exam) you can’t find all the info you need. That’s normal! The preparation material for a beta exam is always limited….but there is some info available. To make it easy for you, I’ll collected some resources and I placed them below!
- Exam Preparation Guide
- A Free 2 Hour Windows Server 2008 R2 Training
- Windows Server 2008 R2 Overview
- Download a Windows Server 2008 R2 Evaluation Version
- Windows Server 2008 R2 Product Documentation
- Windows Server 2008 R2 Homepage
If you happen to run into some more resources, please let me know and I’ll add them to the list!

How are you studying for this? Thanks by the way for the links. I hadn't known about #2. I'm a noob to beta exams. (Glad to have finally got one). I've seen you have done many. Any sage advice will be greatly appreciated!
Do you think any prior non-beta exams should be studied? I guess without much materials to study with, I will go over the Skills Measured with a trial version of Windows 2008 R2 with Hyper-V and hope that will suffice.
Good post.
I'm studding to make this exam and it's help me so much.
Thanks, hugs.
