UPDATE : Passed the first Windows 7 MCITP exam!
When logging into the Prometric Candidate History pages I noticed that I passed the first Windows 7 MCITP exam. I’m not sure if passing this exam gives me a new credential. According to this page in the Microsoft Learning Catalog it should give me a new credential : Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Desktop Support Technician 7. But for now, it’s not showing (yet) on my transcript. For now you still need pass the HDI exam to earn the MCITP Desktop Support Technician 7 credential, but according to this blogpost at the MSLearning blog things can change
.
UPDATE : Just received an update from one of my sources over at Microsoft Learning. The results of the 71-686 are already at Prometric. Prometric is processing the results as-we-speak and they should pop up on your Prometric Candidate History within 2 weeks from now!

Congratulations Helmer! I would like to have also taken this test, but unfortunately it was not possible for me to get free from work at the time. Helmer, did you also take the other exam (71-686) around the same time?
Yes I also took that test. Just spoke to Liberty Munson and she told me that the results should be available within a week or two.
Just wondering Helmer.. did you really just happen to log on to the prometric site or did you see my post (Nightmare's) on the tweakers.net forum about passing the 71-685
???

Yeah…I checked Prometric for the last few days to see if the scores were updated, BUT today I (when the scores were available) didn't check Prometric (yet). As always during my daily visits to Gathering of Tweakers I were confronted with your post.

Helmer,
First of all: Nice job!
Secondly, have you allready found out about the Helpdesk Institute Certification, needed for MCITP Desktop Support Technician?

Hey, did Microsoft provided you to download certificate after you passed 71-685?
Hi,
Ehh…Microsoft isn't sending certificates by mail (the old fashioned mail
) since eh..July 2009. You can now order printed versions of the certificates via the MCP Member page. You can also download digital certificates at the member pages.
