Is the x86 key compatible with the x64 ones ? Because if it is why Microsoft created a page for 32bits and another for 64 ? Sounds nonsense to me.

Like so many others I’ve been trying the Win7 page all day. That did it!

I think part of the rush is because of the way MS cut off keys for the release candidates for Vista — so many with the beta installed got left out.

Hopefully there will be plenty of keys to go around, and it will work well for everyone by tomorrow… of course if that happens I’ll feel dumb for camping at the MS Win7 site all day, but those are the breaks. ;?P

Did you try the 64-bit key? I only got lucky with the 64-bit key…you can though use it to activate a 32-bit Windows 7 installation!

they are just bloody lucky and i feel sometimes as if everyone else around me gets all the luck and I get none. People with extra keys don’t even have the decency to share the ones they don’t need.

It is still working. I got mine from the 64 bit. Tried firefox won’t work but after the 2nd refresh at IE6 (i don’t use IE at all actually), it finally came out. I didn’t request another one because I’m not greedy… For those who haven’t got one (after using Chrome, FF, Opera or IE7), maybe try IE6. Thx a lot for the tips.

Okay, I figured it out. I was able to get 4 key responses in five minutes.

AAARRRGGGHHH, I’m the one who recommended check4change, and I can’t get the friggin thing to work. If I use the method above in FF3 I get redirected to the main MS page. Have cleared allcache, cookies etc, closed and reopened FF. How did you guys get it to work?

Check4Chage really works. Got my Product Key at last. I have been trying to get this key by using all browsers IE6,IE7,Chrome,Safari and Firefox for about 5hrs. At last added check4chage to firefox and got lucky!

Having been involved with the microsoft partner programs and having access to hosted VMs on microsoft turf for some Hyper-V stuff we were doing (Test harnasss for our own sharepoint installation), I’m very distinctly aware of how microsoft configures these systems: Lots of sharepoint web front ends, but they all run against one backing SQL Server database, and that’s where we’re seeing the squeese from all the hammering:
Essentially, we’re overloading the database with atomic rollbacks from all the severed connections! It’s having to do MORE work due to the load balancer’s connection timeout chopping the connection and rolling back than if it had finished servicing the request and returning the key and fully finished commiting the transaction it had already constructed.

This is a major scaling headache at work, and so far we’ve not found a way around it other than splitting our sharepoint installation into completely different LDOMs instead of a central sharepoint cluster

2) If you do reach the correct site but receive the error page mentioned in this article, you CAN press F5.

if pressing F5 gives u the “error come back another business day” yes u can use F5 for that.

How ever if u get another error that directs u somewhere else to live search, just recopy the link and try again.

Stop trying to get a second key you can use the first one multiple times with nothing happening.

I used a refresh interval of 15secs and opened 5 firefox windows in parallel (with c4c). This way I could leave the pc without having to reenter the link after a redirect.

It still works…you just have to be patient. I wont try to get another key, so the guys who were not that lucky will get their chance, too Good luck!

This could very well look like a DOS attack and that could cause your service contract to be terminated for hacker suspicion.

Just a little tip for everyone…. if you get redirected all the time.

i got the code and the downlode but every time i try it install it it says “setup.exe-Bad Image”
E: sourcesspwizeng.dill is either not designed to run on windows or it contanes an error.
also the file “aoutorun.dill could not be loaded or is corrupt. setup cannot continue. error code is [0xC1]

I guess its just luck of the draw that your request is the one going through vs someones else. Juste let check4all do the job for you and think about something else. Watch some pron or something while its running lol.

after a little over an hour i still got nothing useing c4c the server seems to be running slow to real slow right now i guess just way to many of us trying lol but i will let it keep going and if nothing else i am going back to xp cuz vista is crap

I was using c4c with few firefox browsers and after some hours got the 64-bit key. In short time on other firefox browser got the same 64-bit key, so probably when you try to get second key it is similar to first one.

Hi Guys quick question, I got Tiger Woods 07 on my PC and after i koaded Win 7 RC the game after you started it the grass was Black as well as the mini map. then i refreshed my spec of the machine but now i can’t even open the game anymore. Please help if you can, do I need to lower the spec on my machine again or to what must I change my settings to and where to make it work again and will this happen with all my games now? I too scared to try other games?

I’m not entirly sure what you meant by ‘i refreshed the spec of my machine’. Did you remove RAM or did you replace your videocard?

Have you tried other games, or maybe tried the EA Forums -> http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/214460.page

I’m not sure if this will work with TW07, but maybe you can try it!
