New MCP Credential : Microsoft Certified Non-Professional

Robbert Verbeek pointed me to the latest Microsoft Credential : Microsoft Certified Non-Professional. To achieve this credential you have to pass both the 70-401 (SCCM,Configuring) and the 70-656 (MDOP, Configuring). I’m not sure why Microsoft should name it Non-Professional, but as you can see below…it does exist!

I already forwarded this screenshot to the guys over at @MSLearning, when I receive a respsonse I’ll let you know :-)

ps. Back in September 2009 Eric Denekamp also received the ‘Non-Professional’ Certification

Geek Night 2010

Just like last year also this year there will be a Geek Night (during the Dutch DevDays). So all you Dutch geeks register before you’re too late and visite Geek Night 2010 at March 30th.

Location : World Forum, The Hague (Den Haag)
Date: March 30, 2010
Time : 18:00 – 22:00

You can register for this event at the DevDays website.

For now this is all I can tell you, but as soon there’s any more info about the event this will be the place where you’ll read it! I already know I’ll be attending the event, so I’ll probably see you in the Hague on March 30th!

Enable Windows 7 SuperAdmin-Mode

Something reached me today via Twitter : How to enable SuperAdmin Mode in Windows 7. It’s really easy.

Just follow the next steps:

  1. Create a new folder
  2. Right click the folder and name it like this : SuperAdmin.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
    image
  3. Press Enter. Now the folder has a new name : SuperAdmin

  4. When you open the folder you see a sort of super list with all the settings you would like…(see the list below.)

Note : My SuperAdmin mode is inspired by the God Mode which I found at Windows7Themes.net

Merry Christmas Everybody!

It’s almost the end of the year…it’s almost time to celebrate and (a few days later) fireworks. The year that my blog had to move to another hoster twice due to a visitor overload! 2009 is also a year for loads of new stuff : I build myself a Nerd Network, the Philips TV which was unable to stream media files and of course the launch of Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Exchange 2010!

2009 was a great year for my blog, the blog kept growing every month! Over 190,000 visitors visited Helmers Blog during the first 11 months of 2009. In November 2009 I found a sponsor which made it possible to move the blog to it’s own server! Thanks Hozio for the sponsoring!

This will probably be my last blog post in 2009. Just two more working days for me this year….so let me end by wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a a very happy 2010!
